Subject: competition

I only just turned 13 a few weeks ago, and I'm already on a competition team along with doing 3 hours of regular dance class a week. Anyway, our dance team just started working on competition numbers, and it's really hard. Usually I get a lot (and i mean A LOT) of compliments on my dancing, but since I went into competition practices and comp. choreography, I have been corrected a lot and it makes me feel really unhappy and like a failure. I know for a fact I am very hard on myself, but that's b/c I take my dancing very very seriously. I always have fun with it, but I take jazz, ballet, and tap which I always feel bad if i cant get a step. Does anyone know what I mean? Do you have any tips on how I can NOT be so hard on myself, or some encouraging words or phrases I can say while dancing and esp. competing in front of the audience when it comes time?

Thanks!
