Well, you aren't asking me, but I feel strongly in favour of taxing smoking. Those taxes can help fund the health care system that will be overtaxed by people with smoking related illness and disease. Besides, I quit smoking after 10 years of heavy 1 1/2 pack a day smoking because I couldn't afford $7.50 a pack any more. It was instrumental in my decision to quit. Which will ultimately save the health care system some money on me, I'm sure.
