Well that is just bizare, and anti-semetic. But I think that most Western support for Israel is not religious in nature at all, but more political. A similar form of gov't, a western society in the midst of middle eastern turmoil, and perhaps also fueled by a bit of guilt over the holocaust. It seems to me that he is hashing over some little nitpicky issue while ignoring the larger issues altogether.
