All righty then. But I still don't understand it. Maybe I am hampered by being a lawyer.

But those are two different things. I don't think you need to understand the other side to reach a viable compromise. I do think that not "understanding" others can, however, lead to bias. But that doesn't mean you couldn't reach a viable compromise anyway.

All right. I hear what you're saying, but I think we're going in circles.

Oh, I agree completely. I was just taking issue with your apparent acceptance of Palestinian anger at Jews for allegedly taking away the Palestinian "right to autonomy and self-determination" when of course that was not the Jews' doing.

Oops, sorry for being unclear. Notorious for slanting his pieces in an anti-American/anti-capitalist way.

Yes, indeed.

From my right-wing friends. :) Believe it or not, I'm considered a softie lefty by most.

No, no! Come on, you have great comedians, beautiful nature and your RCMP have very snazzy outfits. Funny, I'm often on the other end of the spectrum here in NYC: the rest of the state (and pretty much the rest of the country) doesn't like us, except for a brief blip of love and sympathy after September 11, and they think we're all crazy.
