I would guess that they view this more as suicide, and most people generally feel that when you break laws (as pro-lifers would have the law) you get what you get. Plus, since the church generally views it as a sin, I find they tend to be unconcerned with the women who commit the murder.

ITA!!! Again, I'm just trying to understand the point of view of a pro-lifer, as I am not one. I don't think I could ever have an abortion, unless I was raped, but I do believe in choices. Men don't have to carry the fetus. My body. So I don't approve of men getting to make the decision.
One thing that seriously needs to be addressed is the bureaucracy of adoption. We need to streamline this process ASAP if we really want to make a difference in this debate.
I'm a total realist. I recongize that my kiddos are probably going to have premarital sex, and I want them to be aware of the consequences - both emotionally and physically, of that act. But I'm not going to try and prevent it. A friend of mine jokes that we should put birth control in our water supply when our daughters are teens! But that, of course, only scrapes the surface of the issue. Still ...
