Your approach reminds me of the concept behind Jewish kosher foods, if I'm not mistaken (I'm not Jewish) I think they prefer to keep things less processed.

Even if soy milk is more processed, it's lower down on the food chain. Actually I've heard one rumor that soy causes things like breast cancer. But like I said I've only heard it once.

I've been spoiled by Whole Foods grocery store. A few months ago I moved to within just a few blocks of one. It's mostly organic food, and at first I didn't bother because I thought it would cost too much. But then I discovered the prices aren't as bad as I thought, now I go there all the time, I love the place. The food is always just generally better quality, in addition to being more natural. Last week I had my first organic hot dog after eating hot dogs very rarely for a while. I should be on a commercial.
