I just want to say that it's great to know that I'm not alone. I've been trying to quit for quite awhile. It's pretty hard. I find that cold turkey is the only way. My longest period without TV was 3 months. However, I tend to pull out the TV at moments of weakness. This weekend I'm going to get rid of my TV entirely - I'm giving it away to a friend. That way I can't go back unless I actually go out and buy another one. Bob and Robin, I wish you both luck. You CAN do it (and so can I), it's just rough. The important thing to remember is all the benefits. For me it's that I actually lose weight when I'm not a couch potato and I enjoy reading a lot more. Good luck to us all. Hope to hear how you are doing from time to time.
