Where are the real deep nutrients for the soul? They are hard to find in 'Christian' Television (though if you look hard enough you may find something, here and there).
...

that's the thing ... you and i read the same passage in the bible and it really speaks to me, but it bores you to tears, and another will speak to you but be lawrence welk bubbles to me (not a big passion of my very old t.v. days)

some one, some where, gets fed spiritually by that which disgusts you and i (though maybe it doesn't disgust us as much as limp bizkit, etc.) ...

most christians i know get really turned on spiritually by John 3:16, but that particular piece doesn't impassion my soul like the beatitudes or pretty much anything in the sermon on the mount. and a lot of my male counterparts seem to be much more motivated by "fear of god" things... where as i find that my female friends and i tend to lean closer to love of god things.

god touches everyone in a very personal way, and i'm glad, because then i know that god loves ME . the me that i am that is separate from everyone else.

i do agree about the commercialism, and i must say, i can't bear some of the atrocities that call themselves christian music ... but i bet my parents felt that way about the stuff i like(d). what would be sadder is if, christianity did not find ways to reach people in the virtual reality world ...
