ABC premiered a new variety show/comedy/game show on television tonight. We just have to put our two cents in and say how hysterically funny it is! You must tune in next week if you like clean humor!

[> Okay the show has been upgraded from "completely clean" to "older kids and adults kind of clean". -- Sara, 21:33:48 08/14/05 Sun [1]

This show takes 200 people from a small town and puts them in a game show audience. As the show progresses, people from the audience are chosen to participate in various activities with prizes at the end. Each person's story links back to the hometown with video clips, interviews, and other folks from the town standing by to participate in whatever stunt is planned. One guy watched his sandels get torched by a local firefighter, one woman had her house "run away," etc. One person is chosen at the beginning to participate in the last challenge---to remember and match faces to names of a selection of townfolks that were introduced during the show. It really is quite an entertaining mix of celebrating hometown spirity through comedy, crazy stunts, spoofs (the Calendar Girls thing), and game show. I thought the host was hysterical. The credits are fun, the set is awesome, and it has the hometown spirit of Extreme Makeover without the preaching and with more laughter. I'm adding it to my TiVo list (when my TiVo gets fixed....)

[> [> I was more impressed with the first episode. Maybe it was my mood, maybe it was just funnier--but I laughed aloud through the whole thing then, and not as much this week. I'll keep watching though! -- C, 22:03:08 08/24/05 Wed [1]
