Subject: Guess I could have answered my own question, huh??? Unleaded is at 2.89/gal, diesel is at 3.39/gal. I just locked in propane at 1.79/gal, but it is currently going for 2.09/gal if not on a contract. BTW, I'm in NE Alabama

[> [> [> Hi, Tex! It sounds like we're about the same. I just paid $2.89/gallon on Saturday. Ugh. I haven't checked propane of late.... I'm sure I'll find out VERY SOON. Blech. We just got back from a week at Williamsburg and prices were the same in that area, too... although I did see some regular up to $3.09. I usually fill up a Sheetz or WaaWaa. -- Luoodles who just made yet another call to the Poison Control Center. Sigh... Those people are going to come and take my children some day., 22:03:27 10/03/05 Mon [1]

[> [> [> [> I should explain that child number three decided to spray LISTERINE into his eyeballs this p.m. You know..... This could ONLY happen to MY children. Oh well... I suppose he gets it honest. lOL! He seems fine. I have to check him again in an hour and if the redness/swelling isn't all gone I need to take him to the ER. It's already MUCH better so I'mthinking he's fine. -- Luoodles who's other calls include ingested lipstick, vaseline, berries from an unidentified bush, LYSOL spray, and yes, dog food., 22:06:39 10/03/05 Mon [1]

[> [> [> [> [> Bless you little pea-pickin' heart, Lu!!! How is your son this morning? Better I hope......inside for my tales........ -- Texasbrat, 08:44:26 10/04/05 Tue [1]

When #1 son was about 3, he ate some slug bait. We carried him to the ER where they gave him that charcoal stuff -- Yum. And I found out real quick I don't handle that stuff real well.

When he was about 5, he got a fish hook in the fleshy part of his knee. That one about ate my lunch. Hubby took him to the Dr's office. They took it out while I filled out paperwork. His little sister heard him laughing at the nurse (they'd given him something) and she says "He's not supposed to be laughing, they need to get the hook out!!" I think she was 3 or so.

Right now, #3 son, who is 3 yrs old is in the "marking" phase. Paper, wood, walls, himself, doesn't matter, if it will sit still long enough he will mark on it. I should have shares in either the home improvement store or the paint company, or both. LOL. I refuse to paint until we get past this "phase".

Fortunately, hubby is a chemist, so I call him first & he usually knows what to do when they spray things in eyes or ears or whatever.

BTW, dog food isn't bad, according to hubby-- he & his sister used to eat it regularly when Mom wasn't looking. I think it is usually made of a corn or rice base, so that's not too bad. Now, cat food is bad, it has urea in it, so you don't want them to eat it.

Well, I better go check on "Marky Mark" to see what he's up too.

Later, gator,

TB

[> [> [> [> [> [> GOOD MORNING, TEX! OOO!!! Have you tried the MAGIC ERASER thing???? I think it's Mr. Clean or somehting. I get them at Wal-Mart. They work GREAT! ... and Oh MY about the slug bait! LOLOL!!!!! BTW the berries Child O Mine ate from the mystery bush turned out to be some RARE plant but the berries used to be used by the Indians to make jellies! The horticulturist we had come look at the plant (so we could i.d. it for Poison Control) went bonkers over it. He said it was very rare and had not grown in those parts for many moons. He asked if he could have a sample of it... we told him to DIG IT UP and take the whole thing with him! LOL! -- Luoodles waving to the South. So... how's the weather in GA this bright a.m.??? I'm up here in VA., 08:53:08 10/04/05 Tue [1]

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> Yes, I have tried the Magic Eraser thingys. Only MY CHILD is going to find the ONLY marker in the world that magic eraser or goo gone doesn't work on. There should be a law against non-washable markers. Lucky you on the rare, yet useful plant, I'd have probably gotten rid of it too. -- Texasbrat weather's BE-U-TI-FUL here in Bama.!!! Supposed to get chilly this weekend., 11:25:17 10/04/05 Tue [1]

I felt something rubbing my back and I thought, "Oh how cute, he's rubbing my back like I do for him." NOPE! He'd (somehow) gotten hold of a SHARPIE and was DRAWING on my back... or at least on the back of my NEW NIGHTIE! -- Luoodles.. at least it wasn't the COUCH., 20:22:13 10/04/05 Tue [1]
