Subject: Springtime in Michigan

On Wednesday, we set a record high of 83 degrees. By Sunday, we had 6 inches of snow on the ground. ::sigh:: Why do I still live here??

April 24, 2005 in Flint, Michigan

It hasn't snowed this late in April in about 30 years. The forecast for this week is 50's and rain, so it'll be gone soon, but lord am I ready for summer!!

[> LOLOL! I was asking myself the same question Nadja. We got about 3 inches ourselves. Annoying, eh? Although this is not entirely uncommon. We've had snow in mid-May often enough. In fact, I'd take this over sweltering Florida weather any day. If you're cold, you can *always* put more clothes on. If you're hot, you can only take so much off without getting arrested. -- Canrane - who'd rather shiver rather than sweat ;), 11:12:53 04/25/05 Mon [1]

[> [> I remember when the Tigers had to cancel a baseball game in June one year because of a sudden blizzard. How bizarre. But actually, I prefer the heat since I only weigh 92 pounds and am *never* warm enough. I shiver when it's 75 degrees out. Plus I hate wearing a lot of clothes. hehe -- Nadja, 11:38:00 04/25/05 Mon [1]

[> [> [> All of the crap going on at work has caused me to drop into the 90s too, but for some reason I'm not as cold as I was before. I think the stress is causing my blood pressure to skyrocket and counteract the side effects of the weight loss!! Or I'm 24 and having hot flashes...lol. -- AmandaW (who is definitely ready for summer anyway), 17:36:00 04/25/05 Mon [1]

[> [> [> You know, the funny thing is that I get really cold all the time too, but I also tend to sweat a LOT, I guess that's why I prefer to err on the side of cold. Fall is my favourite season simply because it's not too hot, not too cold and the leaves are gorgeous :) -- Canrane, 12:51:29 04/29/05 Fri [1]

[> I thought living in Connecticut was bad... I'm a warm weather baby myself, since I don't weigh much more than 92, 110, maybe? I'm cold. -- MariMata, 16:34:33 04/25/05 Mon [1]

[> Hey, I put an 'always' between 'I'm' and 'cold' -- where did it go? This post ate my 'always'!! -- MariMata, 16:37:14 04/25/05 Mon [1]

[> I could not believe the snow we had here either. My dog needed to go out at 2 am and it was like a blizzard. He loved it, I did not. I miss the nice weather and I'm also looking forward to summer. -- Sheila I., 10:28:50 04/27/05 Wed [1]
