Fantastic book! If your family likes fantasy you should check out last year's Newbery winner, <b>Tale of Despereaux: Being the Story of a Mouse, a Princess, Some Soup, and a Spool of Thread</b>. I've read it two years in a row now and it's seriously the best book I've ever read aloud---it's just perfect as a read aloud book. Hubby has been reading "The Hobbit" to the family every night. It's wonderfully fun to watch them react to the story. Hubby puts a lot of "character" into his voice as he reads also, so it really makes the stories come alive. Anyway, we missed it. We'll just have to catch a rerun. O.k Going to beddy now.
