Subject: Why I hate the month of March.

The semester is only halfway over. The weather is crappy crappy crappy. "Spring" break is a joke.

I went to Europe from March 3-14. It was so cold and wet. I got a cold the 2nd night I was there. I spent $300 more than I had planned. My travelmate was a stereotypical obnoxious American who only spoke English. It took us 20 hours and 4 planes to get home.

Because of spring break and being in Europe, I missed two weeks of work, which means no paycheck this week.

Then I had a dentist appointment, an eye doctor appointment and that other doctor appointment that all women look soooo forward to every year.

My boyfriend and I probably spent about 15 minutes together in the week I returned home. Then he disappeared for 3 days and didn't talk to me. Later he returned, got all his stuff, and left without saying a word. We had been together for over 6 months.

Now I'm behind in schoolwork, stressing about money, mad that I'm out of milk so I can't dunk my oreos, and to top it off, my left eyelid is swollen for an unknown reason so now I can only open my eye halfway.

WHEN WILL THIS ANNOYING, STUPID, NO-POINT-TO-ITS-EXISTENCE MONTH BE OVER?????

[> One more week, Miss Nadja. The last two months have been rather hellish for me as well...work is so tense/stressful that it's actually making me physically ill....oh, and I had that no fun dr. visit last week. But as a good friend of mine keeps telling me, "just hang in there--we'll get through this". -- AmandaW, 17:06:48 03/26/05 Sat [1]

[> Well you've come to the right place to vent about your probs! And don't you lose one more minutes worth of sleep over that good-for-nothing so called man formerly of yours. Unless of course, you're back together, in which case, forget that. And even though that doctor-we-all-dislike-visit is a pain (I won't say where), it could actually save your life. My cousin-in-law is about to pass on from cervical cancer, and her doctors told her if she had caught it earlier, she 'probably' would've had a chance. So keep those appointments, ladies!! -- MariMata, 02:16:22 03/29/05 Tue [1]

[> [> I second that with a passion. My mother is an ovarian cancer survivor....who neglected to keep her appointments and is one darn lucky lady. -- AmandaW, 19:55:16 03/29/05 Tue [1]

[> [> Yeah, I definitely go every year, it's just that I hate all types of appointments like that. Appointments in general are a nuisance to me. But on a more personal level, my best friend had some abnormal cells the last time she had a pap smear, so they took a biopsy, but luckily it turned out to be non-cancerous. She still has the abnormal cells though, and they aren't quite sure why. She has to go back in 3 months for more tests. Perhaps it's nomal for her to be abnormal? -- Nadja, 23:28:41 03/29/05 Tue [1]

[> actually - I was of the opposite complaint a couple of weeks ago - the weather clearly wasn't spring, but it wasn't so bad, but I said that Spring "Break" was a joke - because I spent the entire time doing research! lol! -- Aria, 15:04:55 03/29/05 Tue [1]

[> March dragged for me, which is kind of ironic because it's been such an incredibly busy month. I'm so glad spring weather is around the corner. I'm tired of being cold. -- Lisa, 12:51:27 03/30/05 Wed [1]

[> Awww! It sounds like you've had a rough month. But cheer up! It can only get better from here...did you spot your first robin yet? That always manages to cheer me up. -- Canrane - did you figure out what was up with your eye?, 03:41:24 03/31/05 Thu [1]

[> [> I can hear birds singing outside right now, and when I just let the dog out, I didn't shiver because the air was warm! And tomorrow is April!! YAY! I never did find out what was wrong with my eye. The swelling went down, and I had a small bump for a few days, but it's fine now. Weird. -- Nadja, 10:27:05 03/31/05 Thu [1]

[> [> [> Oh good...glad to hear the swelling has gone down. Maybe it was a spider bite?? And the weather is lovely, eh? It feels SO good not to have to lug around the big winter coat, hat, mitts and scarf! -- Canrane, 19:57:36 03/31/05 Thu [1]

[> [> [> [> Bug bite? EEEK, I didn't even think of that! The pain is back again though this week, and I'm afraid my eye will be swollen tomorrow morning. :( However, I think I've found the culprit! Kohl's new black mascara! My friend works there and gave me his free sample since he doesn't wear mascara, and my eye has never swollen up or had a bump on the eyelid before I used that stuff. It's weird that it only hurts my left eye though. -- Nadja, 19:24:21 04/06/05 Wed [1]
