He grinned, tipping his head to the side. "And that, my dear, is why I am here." He winked lightly looking down at her. "Watch the master at work, sweetheart." He smirked lightly, heading over that way before he stopped in front of the woman. "Shayna, darling, I have to say I'm sorry, my cell phone got dropped into the pool the other day at the club and all my numbers were lost." He explained the reason he hadn't called which was a lie but she didn't have to know that. The woman just smiled, leaning up to press a kiss to his cheek, her hand trailing down his chest. "Well, we'll have to get together again soon, won't we Nickie?" She nearly purred, obviously lusting after the young man. Nick just smiled and nodded before he placed a hand on Karlie's back, urging her to step forward. "I had to show you this new talent first Shayna, couldn't let someone else snap up this dress when it's obvious only you could do it justice." He went on to explain Karlie was an up and coming designer, everyone was already raving about the dress and Shayna's competition was straining to get at the designs but since Shayna was so close to him and Karlie such a good friend he had begged her to let Shayna have the first go. Of course, he embellished everything but it worked enough to have Shayna convinced she had to get one of the dresses before anyone else did.

A simple smile here, a nod there and some compliments had a great effect on the other woman.. she just couldn't believe the way Nick was playing with her. It made her like him because he was so good at it, while at the same time wonder if he had been playing her all along as well. After making some arrangements to exchange measurements and delivery information, Karlie was on cloud nine- one of her gowns would be on display for not only other designers.. but other models, and buyers.
