  • His jaw set as she scurried away from him, his eyes following her. Ungrateful little...he shook his head, turning on his heel and heading towards the drinks table again. He got her into this damn business and she was just going to turn cold like that? He should have figured, he'd been an idiot for softening for just a moment towards her. It made him an easy target.
