Subject: The words 'after you left me' cut into him, his eyes sliding shut for a second. He'd had a feeling, an instinct almost, to stay with her but his damn pride had forced him out the door. A low breath escaped his lips as his brow furrowed, his eyes meeting his. "Karlie..." Her name was soft as it left his lips. "I am so sorry..." He shook his head, looking behind him before he took a step back towards the privacy of a bedroom, tugging her in with him and closing the door - being sure no one had seen them. "You didn't wake up at all when they came in?"
