Portia had barely finished highschool, what with the Leo's arrival and such like at such a young age- so her job prospects had been slimmed down- and when she was younger she hated to think of just how selfish and conceited she had been. Having Leo had changed her a lot. She had been slung into a cut throat world where she needed to succeed or drown- and she had had a lucky break back in Venice in the form of a good friend who was a art major doing a couple of photoshoots of her for a masquarade exhibition. She disliked a lot of the things that went along with her job- the hours being one of them- but it was a short lived career for most people and she needed to save like crazy for her and Leo's future. It was pretty much just the two of them, since Leo's father didn;t seem to intent on finishing college and getting a job any time soon- and the novelty of having his son in the country with him seemed to have worn of fairly quickly. Portia was prepared for it just to be her an Leo for the rest of her life, but she was resolved to it- in part it was the path she had chosen. She wouldn't settle for anyone that couldn;t love Leo like their own- and the men she usually met never seemed to give a damn about her son... except Kier. Kier was completely different to anyone she had ever met, and she found herself trusting him for some reason. She smiled at him and his teasing and arched a fine brow "Miss out on all the fun? Are you kidding? Leo would only get me wet anyway if I didn't get in..." She grinned brightly. Leo seemed to think that his mother needed to have more fun- and clearly if he enjoyed somehting then she would love it too.
