Subject: How to break/train a 2 year old?

I have been riding all my life but always horses that someone else broke to ride. I now have a 2 year old filly that I have had since she was born and I want to start training her to be ridden. I have been climbing onto her since she was quite young and she doesn't mind it a bit. I have even been saddling her and getting on no problem. But I have no idea how to teach her to use a bridle/bit. I just want advice from anyone who breaks their own horses. I have the Parelli Partnership program. I am considering starting her with that. Has anyone had success with a 2 year old using Parelli system? I don't want to start it unless I decide to commit her training to that method. Most people around here break their young horses using all kinds of tie downs, martingales, harsh bits ect. Some of them even throw their horses down on the ground. This is my baby! She does need to learn some respect but I am looking for a humane way of breaking.
Thanks!! :)
