...that's the working titel of the story about Roger Mac's parents. It's in an anthology called STAR-CROSSED LOVERS and will be out in about a year or so.

After reading Echo it makes sense. I, for myself, am eagerly awaiting it.

A couple of years ago I read an excerpt on DG's page and I want to know if anyone has read it as well. I can't seem to find it again. It hasn't been included in any of the current books. **Spoiler** Jamie and Claire are in prison. William breaks in to spring Claire, his stepmother, out. Claire begs William to get Jamie out, but he refuses so she tells William that Jamie is his father. Jamie vows to never forgive her. I know I read this and I'm wondering if it's a story line that no longer exists. I figured if anyone would know it would be the Ladies!

She gave a nice summation, wanted to remind everyone that Echo _is NOT the last book_. There will be MORE!! She is not finished with the Revolution yet.
I don't know about you, but I am happy to hear that.

She is a beautiful, very gracious, considering the rabidness of her fans..wanting to know _where Exactly_ the Ridge is.
Somewhere in a ten mile radius of Boone NC was the answer.
I can see hordes of well bred, very polite ladies knocking on every door in that area, wanting to know IF this was ever known as "Frasers Ridge". The State of NC may have to create a Ridge to keep us all happy and out of people's gardens and sheds "NO, I told you there was never any cabin on that spot. Please go away." LOL! at the idea of puzzled and besieged homeowners around Boone.

  - It's Compuserve Classic which shut down. That was where the writer's forum started. It's hosted now by netcape. There was a whole discussion about it in one of the forum's folders. George RR Martin said in his Livejournal that he has finished WARRIORS Anthology and it will be out in March 2010 by Tor, it includes the next Lord John adventure The Custom of the Army.

That's the good news. The not so good news (for us excerpt junkies) is that she's not listing any new Echo excerpts, due to a request from the publisher. Oh, well--it just increases the anticipation for September!

- I ran down to Borders today to see if they had the Pre-publication booklet and they did! It was a little excerpt piece of heaven! Diana posted (not for the first time, either!) a rather strongly-worded warning on Compuserve yesterday,

"Well, at least until the book is out, you can't peek at anything I don't want you to see.
After that...well, all I can say is, if you read the last page of ECHO first, You Will Regret It."

And then when someone speculated on appropriate theme music to go with this warning, she suggested the theme from JAWS(!)

Please pass this warning along to any fans you know. Whatever you do, DON'T read the last page of ECHO first!

I am rereading the books in anticipation of Echo in the Bone's arrival. I am just past the part in Drums where Brianna reveals her pregnancy to Claire and Jamie sells Roger down the river.
During the conversation between Bree and Claire, she tells her about her encounter with Roger and then about the rape by Bonnet. She seems very concerned that she has disappointed Claire with Roger, but glareingly absent is the hand-fasting with Roger prior to having sex with him. Now this would seem to me to be way up there on the list of things to tell her, not only to let Claire know that she was not just hopping in bed with him, but that she wanted a commited relationship before this action.
In this context the conversation with Jamie would certianly have been easier.
I do understand that it serves the action in the book, but seemed to me to be inconsistent with the character, Bree.
This truly is one of the more gut-wrenching (among so many) and I just had to read one page at a time to ease up onto this part. I, along with all of you guys. cannot seem to get enough of these characters.
I would enjoy some input here as to why Bree chose to omit this critical issue.

I think I'm officially going nuts. I don't think I can bear to wait another year for the next one. They don't come fast enough, but at the same time I'm scared to death for the final book to ever come out. I really don't think I can bear it if either one of them dies or god forbid if Claire goes back again. I just can't stand the thought of them being seperated again in any way. - I just purchased the three books I needed to complete my series. They had them in Borders in paperback which is what I wanted. The hardcover is tough to read in bed. I got the other three at a garage sale..25 cents each if you can imagine. I have been looking for the scene in ABOSAA but haven't found it yet.   - That�s what I remember too!! She asks him what she looks like and he can�t say she is older/younger, etc�It�s just her. Soooo, we are left not knowing how old she is or who she is writing to and can only guess if it is before she came back to him or a future scene in the book we haven�t read yet. I was really hoping this reference to his dream describes what he saw before she came back to him in Voyager, but after seeing some of DG�s comments on the way this next book is shaping up, I think we will be left dangling from a hangmen�s noose�just barely breathing till the next book comes out!!!     - I agree 100 percent. I for one can't wait for each book to come out, but I know when we do finally get to the last one, I'm going to be torn between wanting to read and not wanting to, for fear of what happens. My biggest fear is that she has to go back for whatever reason, and Jamie's dream was actually of the future and her writing her memoirs or something of the sort. - Just like a famous story about a boy that is a wizard...I know what happens in the next movie, it makes me sad, but I still wanna see it! Im the kind of person that even if you tell me the end, I still wanna read it for myself.
