• I teared up a bit when Jamie, after his brief interlude with Willie, thought about Claire and her son...Jamie's first son. It jarred me a little, because of course we know about Bree -- daughter not son. But then immediately I remembered the timing of this, and that's what made me tear up: his loneliness and longing for Claire, how much he missed her and their child, and just the fact that HE DIDN'T KNOW about them...whether they were safe, etc. (NT) -- Nifty, 13:10:58 03/25/11 Fri

Diana has said (not in an except but just plain told us) that Raymond is a TT, he is very old, (pre-Viking), and he is Claire's ancestor.   • SP seems to be getting into a lot of stuff that Diana let go of through Voyager and on but there were hints dropped in the other LJ books (an Irish goose, now they're going to Ireland). And there were a few 'sort of' hints in Echo that Jamie has not ended his Jacobean contacts after all. Jamie was pretty adamant that he wanted nothing more to do with BPC or the Jacobities, but what we've seen so far suggests otherwise. Lord John & the Plague of Zombies is set in Jamaica, evidently John went there on some official business several years before he went as governor in Voyager, it's a short story and part of an anthology but I'm not sure if it has a name, I think it's due 2011 - that's the snake one. • It's the US trade-paperback edition of ECHO (the larger size paperback) and it was just released on June 22. This is the ONLY place where the 8-page EXILE excerpt is available.
