I know I've only been lurking lately, but first of all, I think that Brian is right. Discussing Scott is great, even under an 'Enterprise' banner and not QL, but Star Trek 'only' is of no interest and is out of place.

Meanwhile, I think it's rather rude of some of you to tout your own boards here. Not everyone goes to a bunch of different boards. Most of us don't have that much time to read or to post and we look for a 'home' where we can feel comfortable and welcome and Brian has done that. To suggest that we leave here and go to yours is wrong. I'm not saying you didn't mean well, but it sure sounds to me like you're trying to steal Brian's guests. How would you like it if Brian came to your board and told everyone how nice it is over here and that they should come over here instead, huh? Wouldn't be nice, would it? And don't play the 'I only wanted to tell people that there were other places' line. Everyone knows there are other places but unless it's a brand new site with something different or of interest to this group, you shouldn't be pushing it here. We don't need your telling us how your board has more leeway to change subjects if you put the right line in the subject line. (Do we get stars if we do it right and slaps on the wrist if we don't?) No thanks. I, for one, plan on staying here and don't personally like the atmosphere as much elsewhere anyway.
