I can see why they thought this was going to be huge; and I wish it was.

How great would it have been to have seen this the second Friday of its release after it smashed the Box Office? This is one of those movies that has something for everybody. Truly egalitarian.

And Samuel Jackson Delivers. I'd follow him.

The killings were brutally hilarious and they should be--(SPOILER) though I'd have preferred it if the dog and the cat were spared...they're as innocent as the baby though I'm not comparing the two. But it is great to see the snakes going after breasts. Ridiculous but you will laugh. SPOILER OVER

Nice-lookin' chicks as well.

Also, I'm glad they decided to take a shot at the cocky rapper and make him look like a bitch. They redeem him and that's cool but these guys get away with a persona that is sheer fabrication among 75% of them.

The thing I liked most was the emotional pacing. This isn't just a campy movie with special effects. They appeal to the emotions. True, it's by-the-book but after an intensely emotional escape where everyone comes together to save the day it's nice to see them bond. While only saps like me will shed a tear it should give a nicely needed buzz to those in control of their emotions.

Oh yeah, and the ending is great. If the kid from SNL didn't have Sam Jackson's authoritarian presence next to him it wouldn't have worked...but that's why Sam Jackson is in all the movies.
