Snakes on a Plane (holy shit, a midget just walked by) wasn't nearly as bad as it needed to be in order to be the cult Z-movie it so heavily aspired to. The whole concept of the movie was in the title, and while the set up is nothing more than a flimsy reason to get you to the snakes, the whole film is in fact the bastard child of some low level executive who market researched it to the point that when some internet geek suggested that Sam Jackson had to say, "I'm tired of these mothafuckin' snakes on this mothafuckin' plane!" they went back for re-shoots. It's not a "so bad it's good film". It's not even a truly terrible movie. If it were, I probably would have liked it more. It just sat there, going through the motions. It's like a comedy that thinks it's funnier then it actually is, as if the film makers thought they could pass off a paint-by-numbers premise as some Fred Olen Ray-level awful bullshit.
