 Man, this was a great movie. I really got into it and I was quite apprehensive; but I knew Lohan was in it and she's fucking hot and a good actress.

Who is this Garrison Keilor? He was terrific. Really, everybody is. Virginia Madsen's got a weird part that wasn't necessary.

What I dug about it was how Altman sucks you in. Look, these people depress me and the fact that Keilor is wearing tennis shoes is really depressing. There's just this overall bad smell of depression seeping through the screen. But then you really start to like everyone because they're so real.

Minnesota's bleak but they embrace it. Then Texan Tommy Lee Jones STORMS in and really puts things into perspective. Brilliant idea.

But hey, fuck these people. That's the world we live in. Did they care about others when they lost their jobs? NO!!! They don't think about anything but once in front of their face. Streep is brilliant at playing a total idiot. The woman's incredible. Tomlin is perfect as her heady sister who for years has watched sis get the men so she got smart. Lohan's character is a good idea but they should have made her darker (though the hose on the tailpipe at the end is BRILLIANT, INSPIRING!!! Lindsay FUCKING Lohan. Why'd you have to date that Mexican kid from Ashton Kutcher's show? You're dead to me. To all of us!)
