Subject: Competition sucks...
In reply to: DKH 's message, "You gotta be kidding me Tashi..." on 14:47:49 05/02/09 Sat

Far too often "competition" brings out the worst in people.

People should just try to produce the best dogs they can...and work them to the best of their abilities given the limitations of our lives...but far too often I see people at each others throats...including myself. Typically this happens when one person attacks another and then the other is practically required to defend themselves (or leave people with the idea that the accusations are true). And, this is how it too often begins.

In the end though...when it comes to the boerboel world...here is what I have seen...

The best boerboels I have personally seen have come from Dave Harris and John Blackwell to date.

Tashi has some nice videos although I have to say I have never seen her display any real world PP clips (mostly just prey to date), it is still more than most in the boerboel worl...and if I was looking for a working boerboel I personally would look at all 3 of these breeders. The reason I would be interested in boerboels from John and David is because I personally know of some up in the northern states that have done very well in PP training even though I haven't seen videos of their dogs.

Best of luck to each of them.
