Subject: You gotta be kidding me Tashi...

Tashi,

I read your posts with growing disgust. You talk about “full disclosure” and sharing information to ferret out these irresponsible breeders hiding all the flaws in their kennels...passing on heritable traits from lack of testing or lack of concern... you feel like it is your responsibility to point out every issue, hunt down the offending breeder, cross-post to other boards, shout from the highest rooftop...you the self-appointed keeper of the breed, right? And then you have the gall to visit the issue of nerve? Please!

From your post...
Most BBs perform great on their home turf, but how are the dogs when taken to a strange place..? That's where many BBs temperaments fall apart, & IMO one of the most important things to look at, even if you're shopping for "just a pet".
then there's the whole issue that has spurned this thread on: HEALTH-TESTING!!!! It's a decent chunk of change for one of these pups.. the least a breeder can do is check for congenital issues so the buyer can make an informed decision. JMO. >=^)

Tashi, you keep describing your own program, hiding congenital issues, lack of full disclosure, breeding dogs that lack the proper nerve and correct Boerboel temperament...are you TRYING to make this easy for me??

You try to appear so innocent, “would you share who your puppy is out of ?” “Gosh, isn’t that the same parents of so and so?” “Well, golly, maybe there is a trend developing that I need to cross-post so EVERYBODY can hear me save the breed” OK, so that last one may not be a direct quote, but it is close. Tashi, you know who these dogs are, you know how they are bred, you are simply using a very sophomoric and quite obvious ploy to degrade other breeders efforts and results. You are like the little girl on the block banging her drum so loudly that nobody else can be heard...you drive away more than you attract.

You jump out there on every health issue, not to help, but to turn up the volume, drag out another breeder for a witch burning, and then you say...oh, by the way, have you seen MY dogs? Let me inundate you with pics and videos...(on John’s board no less) me Tashi, keeper of the breed, health inspector, temperament warden, and loudest drum on the block. SAD.

Now you want to point your crooked little finger at John Blackwell??

Tashi, when you have made as many successful breedings as John Blackwell has, and when you have produced as many good dogs as he has, then come on here tooting your horn. Let me assure you and your loyal minions of one fact; in this breed that some of us have been culling and cleaning up for nearly a dozen years, the problems in the breed we face today have not sprang up in the last few generations. We have been producing better dogs than we ever obtained from country of origin...and we have had the predictable failures too. Many of them. That is why we cull, that is the nature of this, and all breeds. You want to knee-jerk JB before you take the time to examine the facts...sounds to me like JB replaced a dog out of the goodness of his heart, not because he was obligated to, but you have to try to drag his good name out in the street for public viewing.

What a decent person you appear not to be.

Quit your preachin’, you are the guiltiest person in the room. So you sold a litter of pups...whoopty-do. You used one of my culls at stud, a demo (GENERALIZED) dog, with a temperament that renders him unreliable and therefore un-employable at personal protection, breaking both the tenets of your earlier post...what a hypocrite. You appear to be either naive, ignorant, or dis-honest, I can’t decide.

Tashi, mind your own business. Take care of what you can control in your own program, have some empathy for your fellow breeder and recognize the unavoidable stumbling blocks in his/her path...because I assure you, someday, if you produce more than one litter of Boerboels, you will appreciate the support of the community when they come to your defense armed with the simple fact that breeding is an inexact science. It doesn’t always work the way you want it to, I don't care how many tests you run. There will always be the disappointed buyer, you can’t make everybody happy...but until you have made as many happy clients as JB has, you owe him some respect.

Somebody please cross-post this for me, we can all play that game.

DKH
