Subject: Apologies, but I think you got me wrong

Hi Kerri
Apologies, I didn't see this when it was posted.

Please don't think that I would ever undermine anyone's achievements with their dogs, that isn't what I'm about at all. My point was that it is not ONLY dogs with titles that can do what the dogs are supposed to do. There are many, many dogs out there doing exactly what it says on the tin and they never see the light of day on a message board or in a competition. In my view, judging dogs solely on titles or videos could be misleading and devaluing the work that a lot of dogs do in the real world, leading to an assumption that untitled dogs are incapable.
I certainly didn't mean to make anyone feel uncomfortable about showing how well their dogs are doing in competitions, I think it's great and good reason to be very proud for all concerned, but the results are not necessarily the best or only measurement of dog's worth.

Thank you for the well wishes for the old guy. He is fully recovered and as back to normal as he'll ever be for a grumpy old ugly sod of a dog! (Am I allowed to say that here?) Things like suspected bloat give you a nasty scare and make you realise just how much you depend on them and wonder what the heck you'd do without them. I'm not ready for him to go yet. We have a deal, he won't go until one of the others is ready to take over. He won't let me down if he can help it.
