Subject: Boerboels and Anesthesia

This question has come up.

Is the Boerboel considered to be a breed more "sensitive" to anesthesia than most?

I've not come across anything to indicate that they are. Nor to indicate that you're likely to be on pins and needles during hip X-rays, C-sections, spaying/nutering, etc., just hoping they wake up.

But, this is isn't something that's easy to get a good feel for. One has to have tracked numerous dogs and numerous bloodlines within a certain breed to have confidence in their answer. As there are folks that fit that bill on this board, I pose the question to you all. (Texan translation - "What's y'all's thoughts on the matter?")
