Hey sam! My boy priest does stuff like that from time to time. We just moved to a new house a few months ago, and when we first brought him inside, i would tell him things like"go to the kitchen" or "go to the girls room" and he knew exactly where to go. I think a well bred boerboel must be part human, lol.
As far as with kids go, he has an extreme love for them. He follows mine whether they want him to or not. Priest will bring the diaper bag when i ask him to, (but we had to train him for that). The only thing he really does is stand in front of the stairs. I have a one year old daughter. We have a baby gait up that prevents her from accessing the stairs. Priest however thinks that the baby gait isnt enough and when she approaches those stairs, i have seen him time and time again will run over there before her and sit right in the way. This of course makes my little girl mad, but it doesnt bother big boy one bit. lol
