I did mention my thoughts on registries and breeders, but perhaps it got burried in all the other information.

Personally, I think registries should be controlled by breeders that actually work the dogs for their expected duties. If outsourced for "paper work" that's fine, but the breeders know the breed. I also believe people should be honest and disclose what is done, and that registries should allow outcrossing but require that dogs that have been outcrossed only be able to obtain "proto" status for at least 1 or 2 generations...going back to the pure stock 2 or 3 generations before being presented as "pure." This gives a person time to cull out the un-breed worthy traits and to select for what is desired, in order to keep the desired traits from being watered down.
