Sara,

Anyone can breed "Pet" dogs....to me a breeder should be producing breed/show pups that can make great pets (breeders should not be breeding pet quality dogs)...hell if I were going to breed pet quality I'd be breeding muts :) it's much cheaper!

Proper angulation has a couple factors you can ask yourself, if you keep breeding dogs with too much angulation are you going to have a rear that looks like an AKC Shepherd? Form follows function, can that dog work (What a Boerboel is classified as.."Working Group")

A Hocky dog is usually the first sign of a hip problem, a dog with a strong chest and weaker rear end as indicated by Jordan (Look at that chest) is another sign of hip problems, dogs will generally work their front end more to keep the stress off the back legs.

A rear high dog is a common growing stage in a dog that is 13 months of age or younger, from my experiance.
