Subject: Training dogs to attack humans

You may call it "attack" training, personal protection, guard dog training, or whatever you wish. If you own breeds such as GSD, Boerboel, Corso, Am. Bulldog, Bandog, e.t.c. that naturally protect, then i believe "training" is vitally important. These breeds are to guard the home, therefore it makes sense that a boerboel breeder would work with his dogs to understand which dogs should make the cut or not."Attack training" a dog only teaches him how to harness his agression and to bite only when needed, not all the time as many boerboels do.It helps him to logic between scenario and types of people.Otherwise, you get the average boerboel that most breeders sell as "working stock" and cry, run, and piss themselves when they see strangers or attack simply because they are nervous.

As far as hips and elbows go, some would say that "As long as my dog can run and do the things i want, its ok!"
The question is for how long can the dog run and jump? Will they be 3 or 4 years old and not "move like they used to?" Even 5 or 6 years old/

" I look at that person's dog's and none of them make me say "wow!" Only time tells who produces quality dogs and who doesn't. The kind of dog that makes me say "wow!" is the one who stands in front of its owner when trouble arises. The one that moves the child away from the edge by grabbing her shirt and softly guiding her away. The one that barks because she knows there is trouble around the corner, even though you dont. The one that understands english when you tell her something she's never heard before. The one that out produces herself in her pups and epitomizes the quality dog according to breed pioneers standards, not the streets standards.

The boerboel will never have a place in the thug life, unless it's protecting its family against the "thug".
Peace
