Me either Robin and I've had many dogs from diffrent bloodliens and places. One thing is using common sense. My dogs are fed on a schedule. And we keep it as close to that schedule as possible (within an hours time). They also get the same ammount and we don't swap foods. My guys are fed off the ground with buckets that are hung on kennel sides at shoulder level. My water buckets are the same. They are all off the ground and at shoulder level. I don't allow my guys to run and play hard after eating either. They're fed before bed time and when its time to kennel up for the night.

I don't restrict water and i think thats a big thing reguarding bloat. Some dogs aren't free watered and will eat a bunch for their supper, then go tank up on water when its available and cause the food to swell.

I do incorporate raw into my dogs diets as well. And will adjust accordingly to kibble. If they get raw that day they dont get kibble that day. I've alwasy fed my dogs in the evening when its cooler so they aren't eating in the heat of the day and stressing/panting with a full stomache. I do give them treats in the morning tho as a "breakfast snack".
