Well, i' maybe a little late to answer this old post but i just listen to a rerun of the Poveglia episode. After seeing the show, i went on the web to search for report or historical fact from the island. From what i read, the accuracy of the 'specialists' in that show is not very good. The hospital was built before the plegue epidemy, not on the ashes of the victims. And it is not inhabitate now, there is a grape growing feild on the island with workers. That make me beleive that this show is a scam.
