My Reflections at the end of Stage 1

I believe we are working well as a team until now. Every team member has participated actively at each step of this project so far and demonstrated initiative and enthusiasm. Our given demographic is the people under age group 55 - 80 years, which led us to first assume that this is an almost impossible task to achieve. We anticipated that the targeted users would really want only simple features and uncomplicated devices. The interviews that allowed us to interact with people in this demographic, confirmed our views of the type of devices they liked. It surprised us to see that these people are very active and a lot of them are in touch with the current technology and changes in technology.
Now, the idea of designing and MP3 player for this demographic does not seem all that impossible. It is a challenging task though. We also realized that the devices being used currently by the interviewees are not designed to completely suit the usability needs of people in the above-mentioned age group.
