Well I didn't get into the debate thing until this website. Which is probably why I suck at it. But I have been a Sci-Fi fan since Star Wars back in 1977. I especialy love Star Trek TNG, and now ENTERPRISE. All of the feature films and yeah Star Wars, Duh! I am fond of all Sci-Fi though, but never put that much thought into which one was better. I generaly assumed them to be about the same. Except the Empire and other Star Wars guys had way bigger ships. Which lead to the conclusion bigger equals more power. A way of thinking that normaly works for most situations. When crack on Star Trek it is only because after watching the show and watching behind the scenes extras through the years I firmly believe that all in all technology wise they are both about the same. They are both about the characters anyway. But anyway yeah if we take this crap to seriously we do need to seek outside help! It is really fun seeing everyone elses opinions. It was kind of shocking to find people that actually thought Star Trek would stand any chance at all of standing up to Star Wars in a war, little own defeat them in one!!! Wow I have been watching this stuff for so long those answers came to me along time ago with ease. Although the one anoying thing about Star Trek has always been the inconsistensies and misleading dialog of the writers that was a big problem on [VGR]. I have also noticed this to be a big problem for debates as well. In fact there is a whole section devoted to that very problem. Which makes and sort of debate a problem. Simply because most of you guys are smarter than the writers, and catch their mistakes. Also a few naive fans which are confused be those mistakes. Any universe which pumps out 30 years of TM's and TV shows and 10 movies is bound to screw up a few times. I just don't think we should become stuck in the same mire that holds Star Trek together. Thank God Star Wars doesn't have this problem. believe me I do like them both. I only wish Star Trek had the technical consistency of most other Sci-Fi shows like Andromeda, Earth Final Conflict, and Babylon 5, to name a few that got it right, besides Star Wars. Sci-Fi is a great escape.
