Ok, if we are going to have debates about what is and what is not offical. We should recognize that if you say that something like a Technical Manual is not official then don't turn around and quote from it then say later in the same message that it's not. I've read 3 or for things on this forum that some of the more rabid trekies have said that was word-for-word out of the ST: The Next Generation Technical Manual. I have the technical manuals and I know what they say on most of the subjects that we've discussed here. If your going to say it is not official that is fine, but don't turn around and quote from it when it serve's your ability to make star trek look better. I'm not taking sides but if you claim something is not official then don't turn around and use it in the debates. (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE) wrspt

Furthermore, the Technical Manuals (no matter what you guys scream and wine about being "cannon") are official material for both Star Wars and Star Trek. In fact in Star Wars eveything with the Lucas symbol on it is official meaning that even the Role Playing Material is officialy endorsed by Lucas Arts, Lucas Films, Lucas Entertainment, Skywalker Sound, and Industrial Light and Magic.
