>AND! Yeah it was, what is your point Trekling? It was also stated that if it were to be hit with even a phaser rifle blast it would destroy half the ship! Which by your own addmission would indicate that antiprotons are indeed powerful. There are other little examples of antiprotons being mentioned in Trek, antiproton beams can also be used to detect cloaked ships "Defiant" [DS9]. Again they were mentioned in Voyager when they were used to destroy mutant DNA it Tom Paris's body, "Threshold" [VGR]. They were also shown in "The Q and the Grey" [VGR] to be able to increase shield strength by ten fold. My point Trekling is this. There are aparently many uses for antiprotons some (like use in weapons and defensive systems) are beyond Federation technology. I backup that claim by refering you to the examples above "Doomsday Machine" [TOS] and later in "The Q and the Grey" [VGR]. Both give the impression that Starfleet doesn't have the weapons technology. But they can use antiprotons in medical, scanning, and navigational deflectors, as long as the dish ain't hit by phasers they'll be okay, otherwise BOOM! TrekTARD loses again.
