Joe, great point: yes John and Ray our country has done a lot of great things with the money we have, but we can and need to do so much more. Paul Newman is obviously a wicked cool guy. Tell me if I’m wrong, but it seems like he’s devoted not only much of his earnings but also pretty much most of his life off stage to this camp. Not everyone making millions is that down to earth and rarely seen wearing something other than jeans and a baseball cap. For example, ever seen the show Cribs? Yes those NBA hotshots and Hollywood stars’ multi-million dollar properties are pretty cool and their wardrobes amazing, but the level of comfort those people are living at is sickening. The average salary of an NBA player is over $2 million a year, while the per capita income in our neighboring Mexico is $7,700 (ours is around $30,000). Most everyone in Mexico is probably working a heck of a lot harder than any player in the NBA. I don’t think a lot of people understand how people live in third world countries. You don't necessarily have to go outta the country but if you do, walk the streets of one of those places, see the kids our age without shoes, go to one of their private schools and notice your public education back at home is twice as good, and I think it’ll be more difficult to say that we aren’t greedy.
