Not knowing how to stage a turbo car is what kills powerglides. You have to know how to do a burnout and stage a turbo car to make a powerglide last. Every time I hurt my glide it has been my fault. Number 1, you cannot do 2 spoolups in a row. If you don't do it right the first time your screwed, cause the second time you burn it up.
I'm not running a high dollor glide. I have a stock glide built by me with aftermarket planetaries and output shaft.
Not only that, but I also built my own bolt-together torque converter that has had no failures. So it's not that a glide can't live behind monster power, it's that you have to know what your doing. But if ya have Big money, sure a Lenco or Bruno is the way to go.
