If you are talking about MP3 files only, you are correct, Chuck, but keep in mind that if you have a CD Burner, you can convert MP3's to WAV format, burn them to CD's and they will play in any CD player, and also autostart.
The only thing is, that you will still be limited to 74 minutes of playing time in Audio format, no matter what the length of the file (Track).
Audio (CD) format is analog as opposed to MP3 (Digital) format. This is the reason you can get up to 50-60 hours of playing time on each CD in MP3 format, but MP3's will only play on a computer, and not in a CD player.
