Dean Cain is the only one that can pull off being Superman. He just fits the part. In regards to Batman, forget about Michael Keaton and Brad Pitt, I mean do you really think they can pull it off. The movie line was horrible and the actors who played Batman weren't strong enough. That's why it flopped so many times and there was a new Batman every movie with the exception of 1 and 2. My choice would be David Boreanaz. He already proved that he can pull off being an action hero as Angel and definately has the mobility and Character attitude to play Batman. In all, the chemistry between the two would be phenominal. It would be a great movie if the script follows the format of the recent cartoons from the past few years.

>>Dude, Your right Jude Law is a joke! In my opinion who ever would cast him as superman should be kicked out of the movie business. The truth is, the movie should have the intelligence that both Batman and Superman portray. If they go on the stupid concept of the recent Batman movies, they should just drop the whole movie project. At least the cartoons make sense and most definately have a good story line that at least I can get into. I'm gonna stick with my original message, Dean Cain and David Boreanaz for Superman and Batman. If they don't use these two guys with an intelligent story line, their stupid and I for one would be totally disapointed! Alright, later!

I think Adam West should be Afred most of all. I think that Jude Law would suck at being superman. I think Dean Cain should be superman. Open to Batman.

I must say that I agree with the fact that there have been many poor casting decisions made when it comes to super heroes in movies. However, Keaton (despite being roughly 4 ft tall) did very well in the role of Batman. The first two Batman movies were very well directed, but the script & storyline should have been better. Clooney was a good Bruce Wayne but made a crap-ass Batman. Kilmer was an okay Batman but a terrible Bruce. Keaton, however, was able to play both characters very well. Anyone who tells you differently is lying or an ass. David Boreanaz could do a decent job as Batman. He wouldn't be my top choice, but not bad. As Superman? Never. I can't see how that would even begin to make sense. Another thing which doesn't make a damn bit of sense is how anyone in their right mind could ever put Batman and Triple H in the same sentence together. My god man, Triple H? Triple H?! Triple H as Batman? Really? Really? Just say that out loud a few times. "Triple H as Batman." There seems to be something missing from that statement. Oh, right, it's logic. You see, Triple H is a pro wrestler. Now I'll admit, he's a very good wrestler, one of the best in the business if you ask me. But still, he's a fucking professional wrestler. Pick someone who can act. That was the poblem with previous casting choices. Please, give Batman's character a little more credit & respect than that. I think that Bob Kane would stab you with an ice pick for that.

It will be so IDIOT if Jude Law plays as Superman. Dean Cain or Josh Hartnett is the most correct and suitable to play as Superman.

I think John Schneider or Tom Welling (from Television's Smallville) should be considered for the part of Clark Kent/Superman in the new movie.

As for Batman - I agree with Adam West playing alfred..but there was only one actor that played Batman and played him well (and undoubtedly should play him again) - Michael Keaton. (and bring back Kim Basinger as Vicky Vale)

Thank you Brad Hill, thank you. Michael Keaton really was the best Batman ever. Kim Basinger rocks as well.

David Boreanaz could play both roles. He's soooo gorgeous and any excuse to see him on the big screen is fine by me! Also he's a good actor, not of oscar-calibre mind you, but he could definitely carry both roles off. Let's hope he gets to do one of them-I can't wait to see him on screen again!

Good point, my man, very good, in fact; however I see it a bit differently. I have said for a while that Johnny Depp may be suitable for the role, another choice of mine would be vince vaughn. They both have incredible skills, and vince vaughn is one of the best actors of our time. I also offer this; Rob Lowe. Lowe would have to be much darker and meaner than he has been in the past, but he just might have the chops. Feinnes is a damn good actor, however, and definetly could play the role. Just consider Vaughn as Norman Bates. See what I mean? As for Depp, what more needs to be said? Hows about you respond and we shall talk? I would like to here your Superman suggestions, too. Mine are Bruce Campbell and Brendan Fraser. Shalom.

After reading your good site about the "Batman/Superman" movie, I came across the casting for Batman/Bruce Wayne. Michael Keaton was the first choice, followed by Brad Pitt (??). While I loved the first Batman movie, and while I liked how Keaton made up for his lack of physical prowess with his mental prowess, I must digress on this issue. When I saw Brad Pitt's name on the list, I became hysterical and I needed to express my opinion on the perfect candidate for the Dark Knight. In my opinion, for the role of Gotham's legendary protector (and arguably the greatest comic character ever), I feel that the role of Batman should be played by none other than talented but underrated Ralph Fiennes. After seeing Fiennes' performances in classics like "Quiz Show" and "Schindler's List" I realized that Fiennes posseses the goods to be a brooding man with a duel identity. My opinion dramatically intensified after seeing the film "Red Dragon". If you examine Fienne's role in the film, he played a sadistical murderer with two sides to his personality. Fienne's (in the film) posseses an incredible physique and showed that he had an inordinate amount of strength (during the weight-lifting scene). Fienne's (although overshadowed by Hopkins as the main villain) performance as an intense and brooding character made me realize that he'd be perfect for the role of the brooding Dark Knight detective we all know and love. Fiennes also showed excellent acting ability when intimidating other people throughout the film. If you look at the scene where he captures a photo-journalist, you'll see Ralph's amazing ability to intimidate and humiliate (qualities that Batman indefinitely posseses). Although his character in Red Dragon was sadistic, there were similarites to the Dark Knight (dual personalities, brooding, intimidation, physical prowess, mental toughness). "Red Dragon", I believe, is the best example in showing Ralph Fienne's incredible ability to play a brooding and unstable character. A prime film that showcases Ralph's ability to play the rich playboy is the movie "Quiz Show", which focuses on Fiennes as an heir to a premier intellectual family in America playing on a game show, really shows Fiennes' ability to play the arrogant and obnoxious (although intelligent) business playboy. Throughout the film (especially during the scenes involving the actual tv game show) Fiennes shows his incredible talents portraying a rich and socially obnoxious playboy. Ralph Fiennes is my personal pick for the incredible role of the Dark Knight detective we know as Batman.

In conclusion, I hope this letter finds its way to the right hands, so that my opinion can offer a new insight in the burden of casting a talented actor for the fictional icon that is Batman. I know my opinion might be lost with the other million opinions you might receive, but please value all opinions. While Brad Pitt is an up and coming young talent in acting, I believe Ralph Fiennes presents all the tools in portraying a popular American icon such as Batman. Thank you for listening, guys.

Hey Vinny, I just read Alan Moore's classic Superman storey: What ever happened to the man of Tommorrow? that guy rocks!!! I already knew he'd done a great job with The Joker and The Clown from Spawn, but now he's proven to me that The Prankster, The Toyman and Mr. Mxyzptlk could and should be much better characters than that sorry excuse for an Archnemesis and all around pathetic boldhead peace of crap LEX LUTHOR!!!

Later Vinny and remember, stay cool and keep rocking Dude.

I really wish people could see the Evil Clown potensal that my four favorate Superman Villains have: The Prankster, The Toyman, Mr. Mxyzptlk and Tempus (from Lois & Clark). I would love to see them team up with The Trickster (The Flash TV Series), The Mask, The Clown, The Joker, Beetlejuice and Pennywise to fight the Justice League.

The actor to play superman cas just got to be Tom Welling. He's done such a great job as clark kent in smallville and has shown he can act the part when it comes to saving the day! And i'm sure all the superman fans will be smallville fans so this will go down brilliant. Also i'd love to see Michael Rosenbaum play Lex but i wud prefer him to have a more vulnerable side. One which looks like he wants to be good but can't!
