i believe in superman, not because he's stronger or because he has any of the powers he does, but simply because he has never truly lost to anyone (in the overall picture), it is true that he is the inferior when it comes to fighting techniques, and that batman has the most deductive mind, but superman if needs be will fight till his last breath to save the things he loves, and no matter how close batman will ever come to beating him perminantly, he never will. in battle he may be superior, but theres not a man alive who can rid the world of superman. i realise i have just used a "what if" situation in saying superman would fight for the things he loves, but thats because there is always an if, there is no way you can say batman is better than superman as superman is logically better, batman may be more deductive, but that is not the same as smart. he is able to figure things out yet superman knows more and this is shown time and again, he can understand concepts quickly and most importantly he can think quicker than anyone else on earth, afterall he needs to be able to think as fast or faster than he can move, which means in a tight spot he can think of a means of escape. the fight will always be hard to decide as they are each good in their own ways, yet if we really look at logic, then we can see that it is impossible for batman to beat supes, not only because he is invincible (sorry to come down to that train of thought) but also because batman just doesnt have the power to beat him, ring or not. if it was a battle using there everyday techniques and abilities then superman would most likely win, but we all know batman is never ill prepared so dont worry about that. to recap on what i have already mentioned superman is unstopable, in a fight, he wouldnt just stop once he was knocked down, but rather heal and try again,and he always will heal, this is easily seen in the dombsday issues, we see how even though superman is in the grave, he is able to be brought back, and of course this begs the question, can superman ever be perminantly killed? if not then batman has almost no chance at all.
