[T]he beast's respect for the puma suddenly disintegrated, and whatever barriers he had set against fighting tempermental pumas were lowered. Muscles coiled, tensing, waiting the signal that would send the beast's powerful frame forward and smashing into Psalm. Warning snarls rolled from his chest as blood-stained fangs were bared. Claws, sharp and deadly, were revealed and glinted dully in the light. The pain only added to his fury. Then, at the arrival of Bella'donna, a pin dropped, and the beast was again his usual self. With a casual shrug, the claws were sheathed, and his head was turned to smirk at Psalm with the one good eye the brute possessed.

[T]hen I'll leave you to your brats, Psalm. Just be careful of the lurking nightshades.

[N]odding to Bella'donna out of begrudging respect (for he, being smaller in stature, was demanded to show some respect), he gave a flick of his tail to Mirage saying all was fine.
