Author: Film critic Dio
Subject: ......and Dio speaks.....about the movie "Hero"

I hate to be critical about things..esp. movies. I am though.
I am not a huge fan of reading all the lines the actors say in a movie....subtitles suck. The Passion of Christ has it all the way through the movie...didn't bother me.
So I thought I would give Hero a try.
::thumbs up::
Of course if your into the flying people and walking on water, not only will you like this movie..but let me also introduce you to Peter Pan.
I have never been a fan of the exaggerated martial arts films. I do enjoy a Bruce Lee film and I believe the other film I loved was the 7th sammuri.
Either way....the acting was great, you could tell the actors were in character and you felt their emotions and what they were thinking.
The color was superb, great camera shots from beneath the lake and fantastic background. Nothing was left to the imagination, Quereintino (I am not a fan of any of his movies) did well. I swallow my pride. Clean, crisp and a great use of color are the first things I think of.
Not to mention the movie is based off a true story about China (don't quote me on this).
Last thing..Zhang Ziyi is hott ;-)

I could go on and on for an hour, but I will spare you all the misery...for those of you who read this far..::Yeti Hug::

Take care
Diomedes

P.S. I can't wait to tear "Alexander" apart when it comes out, Hollywood loves to screw up history and great books.
