I thought I wouldn't like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, but I suprised myself by utterly loving that movie. People doing unbeliveable things - see also the Bourne series - tend to make me constantly get annoyed about how incredibly lucky the characers are, which makes me get distracted from following the movie. Maybe that's because the main character - and perhaps a villian or two - do these incredible feats, while everyone else gets killed within 5 seconds. In Chinese epic-action movies, like Hero, it appears that many character are capable of these feats, which makes them more believable, and the actions more homogenous with a world you can believe, even if it feels like an exaggeration of reality.

I'm not sure if I can get enough dinero together to watch Hero in the movies - college books are ROBBING me - but I'll definitely will catch it later. You should go see Garden State. good, funny flick.

Oliver Stone is well known for having his own way with history. Whether the film Alexander is accurate or not isn't the major of an issue (as I can look him up in a book if I want the concrete, undistorted facts), but if I want to enjoy myself, I'll go see a flick.
