I Need Help...

I don't know where else to turn, so I'll try to draw from the wisdom of TC:

What am I supposed to do when I find myself falling for a girl with whom I know I won't even be happy, when I know it won't work out, it's a horrible idea, and it's just going to screw me over? I really want to be this person's friend, and just that, but I can't help but think about her all the time. It's enough to drive a man insane. And what's worst of all is that I know if I pursue it at all, which I may end up doing despite not wanting to, she would go along rather than reject it, which in the long run would be far better.

The reason I'm asking you guys is because I know a lot of you are far older and wiser than I, and I can't tell any of my friends this because I'm afraid it won't be kept under wraps (my friends have awful gossip problems, even the guys). I also just want a place to vent where I know I won't be judged (and if I am none of you are real, just figments of the intenet, so it won't matter =P ).

Even if no one responds, seeing as few probably frequent this board, it was still nice to get it out there.
