all engans should be aware of:
(1) total economic resources available to the enga province in current time includings biggest projects such as porgera and mt kare. there are other agriculture potentials but comparatively small and forestry being relatively smaller. furthermore, others would include eco-tourism but given cultural and traditional perspectives, any progress would be very slow.
such outlook implies that 5-10 years from now, enga's future is very dim, unattractive, chaos and problems in all perspectives.
(2)what do we do now to make good our future in the province for us and fro our children; being still proud as lions and strong and rough and still rule as our forefathers did. to expand the dominion that enga is still to be relied upon by the country.
we have to use all these current economic resources fully and appropriate by investing in such programmes i have mentioned in this forum under several articles.
(i) invest huge in physical infrastructures in the province such as roads and bridge to smoothly link up the districts to the provinces. invest in setting up administrative structures such as government houses, police offices, post services, schools, health centres and hospitals, colleges in the province.
(ii)invest in agriculture sector and commercialization fo this industry very appropriately. creating production factors for agriculture projects, marketing strategies for their products and creating and enlarging these markets both inside and outside of province. improving transportation system as in point (i).
(iii) invest to re-vitalize the tourism and hospitality industry in the province to expand eco-tourism potentials. assisting the local/rural people to build and own guesthouse, lodges, hotels. bringing in cultural programmes usch as the cultural centres in the districts.
(iv)invest huge in science and technology by educating engans in all academic schools to higher standards. then, create facilities in the province for researchers of science and technologies. any product from this invest make better enga.
(v)interprovincial roads to link up southern highlands to create demand for services andf goods in enga and road to the sepik ports to bring in supplies needed to drive and boost engan economy.

SOME LEADERS HAD/HAVE BEEN PLAYING AND PREYING ON THE RETICENT/IGNORANT BEHAVIOURS OF THE RURAL PEOPLE OF ENGA.
I USED TO THINK THAT ENGANS ARE BETTER FOR SUCH MANIPULATIONS. (MY APOLOGY: THE ENGANS HAVE BEEN F**KED SO BADLY IN THE ARESES)

PEOPLE ARE STILL STRUGGLING==I MIGHT BE ENJOYING A PLATE OF STAKE WITH MUSHROOMS AND FRIED RICE IN A COMFORTABLE RESTAURANT IN AUSTRALIA/AMERICA NOW BUT WHAT ABOUT MY FATHER AND RELATIVES IN THE VILLAGE. I HAVE BEEN LEADING A VERY PRETENIOUS LIFE==.
THOUGH I MIGHT ENJOY SUCH CREATIONS BUT IAM NOT SETTLED, AM NOT HAPPLY AND FEELING TEARED APART WHEN I STILL KNOW THE BLOODY DAMN CONDITIONS IN WHICH MY GRANDMOM IS IN THE VILLAGE AND ALL OTHER ENGANS ARE LIVING IN. CAN'T SLEEP A NIGHT PROPER.
