People,

Due to the skills shortage in Australia at the moment, there are lots of job opportunities for professional Papua New Guinean's. If you have a recognised qualification and have good work experience you could possibly secure employment in Australia. Try logging into www.seek.com and search for work that suits your experience. If you are an engineer, geologist or CPA certified accountant, try emailing Lauren Stein on email address lauren@personnelconcept.com.au indicating you are looking for possible job opportunities in Australia. You can say I passed on her contact details to you so you're writting to her.

They would have to have a modicum of English skills and not insert apostrophes will nilly as you have done.

Dig a hole for another and you are the one who will fall into it. Sometimes it's beter to keep your opinions to yourself. As you know, this 'freakin' language called english is only our second or third language. I guess we will still be learning it till we die, unless you have mastered it in all aspects.

One who is writting [sic] from ignorance,

[Writting = Writing] now who is really ignorant? Maybe someone is too busy correcting other people's mistakes that they’ve overlooked your own.

Apparently there is no requirement for an English competency assessment, be it written or spoken. All you need is a recognised qualification and years of experience. I do not want to debate over a simple typo but if you want to dwell on it, I really don't care.

I posted this information for the benefit of the many Engans who do have the credentials to find employment in Australia. For your information, there are many Engans already working and living in Australia and in other parts of the world so it definately isn't a new challenge. Don't under estimate yourselves, universities around the world use the same text books used in PNG universities. In fact many of the PNG professionals who are already in Australian industries have done so well that these companies are recruiting aggresively for PNG talent.

I see definate instead of definite so often... it tells me much of the character of the writer.

I can't see the relation between a person's character and a spelling mistake. It's seems you have a have a personal problem with this person.

It's seems that you, SB, have a huge problem with your brain. If you intend to write in English ensure you know the language; otherwise you make a proper goose of yourself. Your character is suspect.

How much do you know about character? the observation I make of all the comments you have posted points to yourself. It is obvious you need assistance yourself pretty quick before you end up in Laloki or Rude Island. Maybe the latter rather then the former.

Hawks,

You are spot on! I do not see why such unnecessary retorts have been raised against a working professional (Paeo) who only sought to further others people's careers through helpful suggestions.

You guys should give Paeo a break and let off some steam!

Life is too short for grievances, For quarrels and for tears, What's the use of wasting precious time arguing over insignificant issues. I suppose we should look at the more brighter side of things. I am not bothered by what some else thinks of me, and I won't loss any sleep over it. Everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion and I respect our well taught english guru's opinion. Maybe my spelling mistakes tell him why I did not become an English Teacher.

Paeo, that's a very good response to your critics......man I can't find the logic in this SB's english agenda.

This guy must have had a very traumatic childhood or abused as a child and thus developed a process of social withdawal which as a form of revenge. I guess the negative behaviour is reinforced and activated when a situation of a simillar kind is presented to him. In this case, your spelling error.

Poor soul needs professional help or end up in an institution of the type he mentioned.

Happy Easter

Tapumalo,

Looks like you misunderstood my posting, my comments were aimed at the author of the tread titled [It's its bits dunno what about the apostrophe]. I responded to the remarks made by this nameless person who was saying a spelling mistake linked to Paeo's character. I hope this clears the air.
