hi guys, look at this....where are we heading towards!!!

sapos wanpla ga copy plis toksave na mi laik lukim kantri meri blo mi yet...ehehehehhe

Postcourier extract:27-11-2007

A HANDFUL of Papua New Guineans have been paid hundreds of thousands of kina to “star’’ in pornographic movies.
People involved in such PNG-made movies say they were paid big money by the organiser, an Asian involved in big business in this country.
One professional woman, university educated, admitted receiving half a million kina to play a leading role in such a movie.
She is still doing her normal working job in a city office.
She took part in the filming, performing sex with another Papua New Guinean man who she knew before the movie.
A DVD showing their performance is said to be retailing at K60 in the streets of Port Moresby. At least some of her work colleagues have seen her in the movie.
The woman was at work last week but is believed to have gone on leave this week.
Her partner in the movie is believed to have performed in at least one other pornographic movie.
It is believed the big money offered for the “actors’’ reflects the huge amounts to be made from circulating such movies worldwide.
A serving female member of the Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary has also been involved in a pornographic movie and is still in the police force, serving in one of the provinces.
A senior police officer told this newspaper the law on the production of pornography was silent, but there were specific provisions for people caught in possession of such material.
Police say many Papua New Guineans, especially women, had become involved in performances in such movies.
Police found it hard to prosecute the main offers, those who organised and filmed the pornography.

The moment I saw that article come up on the Post Courier (and after reading through it) the first thing that came to mind was that we were headed for greater problems in PNG, and I regret to say this but I feel there is a huge (99%) certainty around my thoughts that we're heading for bigger problems. It took me a moment to pause and think, "..where.. and what now?". My mind kind of quickly traversed the politicians and the head of State, asking myself "who is in charge of the country?", and then, why so?.

I guess this is a sad state, and mind you, just the tip of a huge ice-berg somewhere in the country. I mean, you think about it!! Not to mention the corruption stemming already in the Police Force, and the repetition of the millenium robbery last week or so. Can Somare solve this issue (I dont know, I am confused!!!) ?? Can Mekere solve it? (probably??..perhaps he can help), but wait he's in the Opposition! For the next 5 years lets think who is in Government that has the power to make such a drastic and positive outcome to weed and clean PNG thoroughly of such bad influence and precedence. I don't see no clarity, nor any answers to my questions and thoughts.

Perhaps we should resort to the Military (our next best option) for a possible Coup to take back control of the country. But then that same question again. Who's in the Military to help us take that lead. Singirok? He's retired and old. Walter Enuma ? Probably, but where is he? Peter Ilau?? No he's a puppet to the Australian and Somare Government. It does sound frustrating trying to think of someone to help stir us to shore. I can't think of anyone who can help. It hurts!!

But I guess this is just one practical reality we PNGeans have to face and live with, until after 5 more years from now.

kaim Fred! it really hurts when you ponder who, what, why so...etc questions! I agree with you on all your points. politicians? police?defence?...if you can recall from history in the 80s and 90s two pioner and prominent politicians were implicated for such acts but where not prosecuted. And now how can they apply the rule of law to penalise those implicated? Some people esp working class do their own movie without the knowledge of the partner, then, sell to asians, whites, reds, blacks, esp expartriates. Just look at these young living skeleton png chicks and pimps going out with aging expartriates, just like their grandpa and or great grandpas, , or with these small business owners(asians)? ? most of them are forced to get involved in them because money is the pull factor. SChool girls and job seekers are mostly affected by this phenomena. Most of them do it thinking they are not caught on hidden cameras. Pitty little pussies. ITs a different trend of sex working class. Even males (gays) are involved.

Ya back to the point, It is really a sad state. We have lost one valuable aspect of live. That is: self-respect/love..

If human integrity is at stake, how could we tackle the social problems and alleviate the country's living standard and uplift the demoralised mindsets of the young/er generation?

It is indeed time to take appropriate actions to review the existing laws and enact practicle laws. Well, it all comes down to politicians...

just a question: do our MPs have time to visit such forums to get more collective views or are they relaxing too much and waste alot of money on consultancy services?

Today's moral is decaying. Papua New Guinea has been govened by some most notable unwritten laws of morality for centuries.
But today, it is decaying at a rate where we cannot fix it again. Such example of moral decay is the above....!!!

Its time now our leaders intergrate some of our traditional ways of ethics into the current legal frameworks and insitutions. And Even make thougher laws for those who break such laws of morality.
